What we collect

When you start a case we collect your name, email, phone number, state, the details you give us about your device, and any photos you upload. We use this only to handle your recovery and contact you about it.

Reminder emails

If you enter your email on the last step of a mail-in but don’t submit, we may send up to three reminders about that case over the next few days. Every reminder has a link to stop them, and submitting your case stops them automatically.

Your device and files

Your device is logged and stored in our lab. Our technicians only open the files needed to confirm your recovery. We never sell, share or publish your data. After your files are delivered, we securely delete our working copies.

Passcodes

We ask for passcodes only when needed, through a secure channel, and we delete them when your case is closed.

Who we share with

Shipping carriers (to return your device) and the email and hosting services that run this website. Nobody else.
