A quick note about hard drives. Right now we are not taking physically damaged spinning hard drives: drives that click, grind, beep or were dropped. These need a clean room, and we’d rather tell you upfront than take your money. Laptops, MacBooks, phones, USB drives, memory cards and SSDs are all fine.

How we get your data back

If the storage is removable and healthy, we read it directly. If it’s soldered or the board is dead, we repair the board so it can boot and we can copy your files off.

If your drive is encrypted with BitLocker, we’ll need your recovery key. We’ll help you find it.

Do you recover from SSDs?

Yes. SATA and NVMe SSDs that won’t show up, plus storage soldered to the board on thin laptops.

What about my hard drive that clicks?

Right now we’re not taking physically damaged spinning hard drives. If your drive clicks or grinds, turn it off and don’t keep trying. It keeps getting worse.

Will you fix my laptop too?

Our goal is your data. Often the laptop works again after a board repair, and we’ll tell you either way.
